In 1982, Carova Beach opened our volunteer fire station at Milepost 21.5.  Thirty-five years later, the 4x4 off-road beach has grown to over 700 houses and thousands of visitors per week in the summer.  As the area has grown, so have the number of fire and rescue calls.

With over 40 active volunteer firefighters and first responders, we are expanding our capabilities with a new station at milepost 15. Our new Station 72 Swan Beach will put critical equipment where it is needed and reduce response time by ensuring every part of our service area is within 5 miles of a station.
